6 Months Old!

I took her 6 month pictures with her monkey again, just like her 1 month pictures. In a few of these pictures she is making her own monkey face.

More Silly Faces!
Our little girl is 6 months old already! Actually she turned 6 months about 2 weeks ago so this post is kind of late. About 2 weeks ago is when we started not feeling to well in this house but now we are finally all feeling better. Yeah! Rylee did go to her 6 month Dr.'s appointment but she didn't get her shots because she had another ear infection. That's 3 already. Our Dr. said that if she gets 6 within a year she would have to get tubes. I really hope that she doesn't get anymore. I just hate knowing that she's in pain and I hate having her on antibiotics all the time. Rylee has to go back next week and get her shots. They did take all of her measurements. She's the lowest she's ever been in the weight percentile but she continues to be in the 90th percentile for height.

Weight: 16.3 oz's (60th percentile)
Height: 27 1/8 in. (90th percentile)
Head: 44 cm. (80th percentile)

I have to say that month 5 to 6 has been my favorite. I just love this stage! I am sure I will say that many more times for other stages too but we are really enjoying this one right now. This past month she has become so much more interactive with us. She smiles and giggles for us and she watches us as we move around. She loves playing with us...whether we are playing with her toys, she's playing with our faces, or we're rolling around together on the floor. She sits up and plays so good on her own too. She can't crawl yet so we don't have to worry about her getting into to much trouble. Although, she is figuring out how to roll and scoot around to get to things she wants. We better baby proof our house soon. She continues to babble in her own little language but no real words yet. Rylee still loves being in water...her baths, swimming in the pool, or even showers with mama...she loves them all.
As far as her looks go, her eyes are a blueish green color. Somedays they look really blue and others they look greener and darker. Her hair is getting a little thicker and longer, especially in the middle, so she is still sporting the mohawk look. Her hair is pretty light and I'm starting to think she is going to be a blondie.
For the most part, she sleeps through the night. She usually wakes up around 6 or 6:30 in the morning. This morning she slept til 7 and then we brought her into bed with us til 8. I love weekends! Here's a cute picture of her in her crib in the morning. She always has such a big smile for us when we go to get her.

It sure makes my day to wake up in the morning to this big smile!

Rylee Goes Swimming!

Rylee in her swimsuit for the first time...what a beauty!

Swimming in the big pool!

Family pic

Auntie Ness playing with Rylee

In her new tube from Gramma and Auntie Bailey

Of course she found a part on the tube that she could chew.

She loved floating in her tube!

SMILE!

I don't think her smile could get any bigger than that!
(I love this pic, it's our new background on our computer)
The whole Fam in the pool

The kids

"Ugghh...do I have to get out of the pool?"

All cozy in her robe but she could have stayed in that pool all night long!

We met my entire family in Saginaw for the weekend. We picked Saginaw cause it's close to being a halfway point and Birch Run is close by, which is a huge outlet mall. Friday night we just hung out at the hotel together and ordered pizza. Saturday we went shopping for most of the day which is always an adventure when we all go. It was fun and of course we all found some good deals. Jaclynn, Maddy and their neighbors Sara and Ben drove up and met us at the mall too. We only got to see them for about an hour but a short visit is better than no visit. Saturday evening my family all went back to the hotel to swim. It was Rylee's first time in the pool and she looked so darn cute! We were all so excited to see her in the pool. She loved it! We figured she would because she has loved her baths from day 1. Rylee was in the pool with us the whole night, and she probably could've even stayed in there longer. She went back and forth from the pool to the whirlpool and never once cried. My mom and Bailey bought her a turtle floaty and she had so much fun floating around in that thing. It will be great for the pool this summer. We all had a lot of fun Saturday night. Unfortunately, Sunday wasn't so much fun. We had split up the hotel rooms with the 5 girls in one room and the boys in the other. Sunday morning at around 4AM Bailey woke up and threw up in bed. About an hour later Vanessa got sick...and about another hour after that my mom got sick. I felt so bad for them and felt terrible that they probably got it from me. I had the stomach flu the weekend before but didn't think I was still contageous, but apparently I was. So Sunday was quite a bummer. Us girls had planned on going to Target to work on Vanessa's baby registry but obviously we weren't able to do that. They just had to lay around in the room (and all take turns using the bathroom) til we all got on the road. There was terrible weather on Sunday too, they had to drive home through a blizzard. The good thing is they are all home safe and sound now, feeling better, and we had a great time together Friday and Saturday.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Rylee made us a Valentine at daycare with her hand prints

We were trying to get a picture of her with it and to smile but she's still not feeling good so she was not all about the smiles...

but she was all about attacking the valentine.

Daddy gave her her first rose.

We tried to get her to smell it...

but instead she just wanted to attack the rose as well. Someday she'll appreciate roses.

Cute Close Up

I thought this pic was cute so I decided to share it. It's been a pretty rough week for our household. I had the stomach flu this weekend and then Rylee started a fever on Saturday. We thought she had the flu too but when we took her in to the Dr.'s we found out she has another ear infection. Plus she has a pretty bad cold (and now I got that too). Daycare has been hit hard lately with all kinds of viruses. Monday there were only 5 out of 15 kids there...darn flu season. Rylee is on antibiotics but she still hasn't been herself. She wants to be held all the time and I just feel so bad for her, it stinks being sick. I can't wait for her to feel better and be her smiley self again. Poor Brad has had to deal with two sick girls all week. Rylee and I are lucky though cause he does a great job at taking care of his girls.

Sitting Up!

About a week ago Rylee decided she knows how to sit up all on her own. I worked with her a little one day and then the very next day she could sit up like it was no big deal. I am not talking just for a few seconds and then fall either. She'll sit up for a long time with out falling. Sometimes when she gets a little too excited she kicks her legs and then topples over but for the most part she stays put. It's nice for her to be able play with her toys from a sitting position rather than always laying down. She looks like such a big girl sitting up!

Ellie Ruth Pomeroy

Ellie, a few days old and very alert...what a cutie!

Our friends Stacey and Colin had their baby girl on January 31st. She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz.'s. They are all home now doing well and adjusting to their new world. Congrats Pomeroy's!

Jumperoo!

Great Grandma Sally got Rylee a jumperoo for Christmas and she sure does like it! It keeps her entertained for a long time (which mom and dad really like too). She loves all the fun buttons and gadgets she can play with. She bounces in it a little bit but I think as she gets bigger she'll figure out the jumping part and then she'll love it even more. Thanks for the fun toy Gram!
