Sisters

It is so sweet to watch the 2 of them together. Rylee loves her little sister so much! At daycare, Sadie is known as "My Sadie" because that is what Rylee always calls her. She loves to hold Sadie and talk to her. When she talks to her she get so close to her face and talks in a really high voice. Its pretty darn cute. I have been terrible with my video camera but I really have to get some video of them interacting. And Sadie always has her eyes on Rylee. She watches everything Rylee does. As their mom, I just love to watch the two of them together. I know the day will come when the fighting will start but right now I am just enjoying the incredible sweetness. I love that they have each other, a sister and best friend.

Thanks to Auntie Nessa for the matching ice cream shirts

Playing together (notice Sadie looking up at Rylee)

We don't even have to tell Rylee to put her arm around Sadie, she just does it now.

"Having a sister is like having a best friend that you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there."

Grace's Birthday in Ohio

A few weeks ago we went to Ryan and Mindi's hometown in Ohio for Grace's birthday party. I didn't get any pictures but I stole some from Mindi's blog. We had a great time and it was cool to see where they are from. Mindi's parents live on a farm so the kids enjoyed seeing all the animals.

I couldn't believe it but Rylee actually wanted to pet the donkey (that's more than what I can say for myself)

Daddy and Rylee checking out all the cows.

Checking out more cows. There were hundreds of cows!

I love this picture. It looks like all the cows are looking at her too.

The kids also got to go in Grandpa Meier's big tractor.

As you can see they thought that was pretty cool.

That night we went to the park and celebrated Grace's 2nd Birthday. She had a great party and was being a little ham, very cute.

This was the best gift of all. That's right, Grace is going to be a big sister! We are so happpy for the Dippold family! The kids won't be as close as Rylee and Grace are in age but it sure will be nice for Sadie to have a little friend right next door. It's so wonderful having such great friends as your next door neighbors.

Kids Korner goes to Stuckeys Farm

The Kids Korner Group

Last Monday I was a chaperon for the Kids Korner field trip to Stuckeys Farm. The kids got to go to the apple orchard. They had a tour and learned all about apples and corn. It was fun to go and watch Rylee and her little friends. I was impressed with how good all the kids were. Ms. Jaime sure does a good job.

holding hands with her friends

Getting ready to go on a wagon ride through the orchard.

Even though you can't tell by this picture, Rylee did enjoy the wagon ride.

After the tour we had a picnic lunch. There's no apples here but they got to eat the apples during the tour.

Another attempt at a group picture. Rylee was standing in the back by Ms. Jaime so Ms. Kim had to pick her up cause she's so tiny we couldn't even see her.

3 Months

Cheeks run big in our family :)

3 months old and growing and changing every day! We've seen a lot of changes this past month...most good but one not so good. I'll start with the good. Sadie started sitting in her bumbo and really likes to be able to sit up. She also really likes to play with her toys now. She grabs for her monkey that hangs down from the car seat and holds on to it like she doesn't want anyone to take it. She loves to hang on to my hair too! She constantly has a hand in my hair. She's using her feet a lot to play with the toys now too. When she lays on the activity mat or bouncy she likes to kick at the toys. Sadie also likes to keep a good eye on Rylee, its like she is taking it all in. This month she has started to talk a lot more. Her coo's are so cute and it makes me smile all the time. I love it when she tries to have a conversation with me. Sadie is also a drooling machine! She's constantly blowing bubbles. She's realized that she loves to suck on her fists and fingers so that only adds to the nonstop drooling.

She loves when you talk to her and give her the attention.

We're still working on tummy time. She's not a big fan of it but she is getting better at it. She has a very strong neck its just she doesn't always want to use it.

We didn't have a wellness visit this month so I am not exactly sure how much she weighs. She's still pretty long and skinny but I think she did put some weight on in her cheeks and thighs. In this picture she is showing off her long arms.

Now for the not so good...sleeping. She transitioned to the crib around 10 weeks (when Rylee transitioned out of the crib into her big girl bed) and it went alright. The first few days she only woke up once a night. But now for the last few weeks or so she has decided to wake up twice a night. Actually she is pretty inconsistent. Most nights she wakes up twice but every once in awhile it will be one time or even three times. So we are trying to work on getting back to being a good sleeper. Daycare started swaddling her for her long afternoon nap and they said it works great. They have her on a schedule and everything. So we tried the swaddling thing and I think it has helped a little. We'll see, she is still so young so I am not worried about it. I just hope her sleeping improves soon, I like my sleep.Overall Sadie Lee is doing great! We know how fast babies grow up so we are enjoying each and everyday with our littlest babe.
